Where Were at Now

Hello everybody and welcome again to the Obama watch. Before I get into the niddy griddy I want everybody to kind of get an idea of where we are at in the US Economy. So here we go.

First of all here’s how the outrageous spending has been going.
780 Billion Dollar Spending Bill -- Passed-- This bill was one of the most outrageous and irresponsible spending of any administration in History. What is in these bills--- 15 Billion to Abortions in China, Another 15 billion to family planning services In the US, 30 billion to the protection of an endangered mouse in San Francisco, 1 billion to a Frisbee golf course in Austin Texas? There’s more I could go on forever Baby. If those aren't irresponsible spending practices what is.

410 Billion Omnibus bill -- Rejected-- The senate finally got some sense and stopped one of his stupid spending bills. Two Democrats realized we don't have this money that he wants and they decided not to vote for it. It is going to be put up again however, and I'm sure eventually our money is going to go to another stupid bill.

700 Billion In bailouts -- Passed-- Government apparently thinks that they can spend money that doesn't exist in order to get us out of this bad economy. Sorry it doesn't work, it has been attempted before and it simply doesn't work.

3.6 Trillion Dollar Budget -- coming up-- The largest government budget in history. Its ridiculous and this administration has already spent more than was spent on the Iraq war in just 5 weeks.

1. Why buying our way out doesn't work

I keep hearing people tell me that we can't do anything, and that we have to buy out these businesses and spend money that we just don't have. Well unfortunately for you all this has already been proven to not work. Let me explain. In the 1920's during the great depression our country wasn't the only one that was having issues. I would suggest to you all that you look up the depression in the Weimar Republic. In Weimar in order to solve there economic crisis they spent money frivolously. Due to inflation the money in Weimar became basically useless in every way. In fact people would burn the money for warmth in there houses and kids would put the money in stacks and create blocks out of the money. These blocks would then be used as toys. There is a story about a woman in Weimar who went to a store to buy one loaf of bread. In order to pay for the single loaf bread she took a huge basket filled to the brim with cash. When she went to pay she looked away from her basket and somebody dumped the money out and stole her basket. That shows you how worthless the money was, and a look at where were headed if we keep this up. Also by the way incase any body is curious about how are GDP is going now a days here it goes. We at this point receive 21% of GDP after we pay back other things, were currently spending 27% of GDP. So were printing 6% more so that we can spend it.

2. I don't know about you but I'm kind of pissed.

Now when Barack became President I was rather optimistic, and hopeful that he would be a good president that would lead us out of this recession. Now what I liked about him imparticular was that he wanted to eliminate wasteful earmark spending, wanted to increase spending on Infrastructure, and was going to be Bipartisan.

The truth however is that he hasn't done any of these things. 1. His first spending bill that was enacted with its 780 billion dollars and had a small bit of it going to infrastructure. 2. Republicans weren't given any input until after it was written, and the one thing they wanted to add was rejected. Sorry everyone that’s not bipartisan. In fact he has been extremely left and very partisan. 3. The 780 Billion dollar spendulus package was 1000 pages long and had over 9000 earmarks. I thought he was going to eliminate wasteful earmark spending?

However, you have to remember when talking about the bill above that Barack Obama didn't even write this "Important" bill. He told people that he wanted certain things in it and then he delegated it out. The bill was 1000 pages and although a bill is supposed to be available to the public a few weeks before it is put up for the vote it wasn't made public till it was passed. Also the group told to review the Bill didn't receive it until 24 hours before the vote. Sorry it’s impossible that they read 1000 pages in 24 hours. Therefore the senate voted on the bill without reading it, and I guarantee Barack Obama didn't even read it.

3. Why I'm hopeful

I am hopeful because it turns out that our representative and our senators aren't as stupid as I thought. In fact a lot are starting to realize that Barack Obama’s spending is out of control. A group of Moderate democrats and even some far left democrats in the House have formed a committee to try and limit Barack Obama’s spending and get him under control. Also 2 senators voted against the last 410 billion Omnibus bills because they knew that it was bad news. Also on a high note a recent poll has shown that the majority of Americans want more republicans in congress and the senate in order to make it more balanced.

Final Thought: Ladies in gentleman with the Dow falling, Record unemployment, and over spending I can only conclude that this Nation has indeed become an ObamaNation.
